Description
The castle is first mentioned in 1296, when it was owned by János Csák, to whom it was given by Andrew III of Hungary. In 1313, the castle was unsuccessfully besieged by Charles Robert and was likely destroyed during this siege, as it is no longer mentioned in 1324.
