Brief description

Ruins of a small castle (watch tower) build probably in the 13th century. The castle was destroyed by fire probably during the Hussites attacks to the western Slovakia in the first half of the 15th century.

Situation

On the east side of the mountain Kozlisko in the southeast part of the mountains Malé Karpaty near the village Borinka about 15 km north from Bratislava, altitude 370 meters.

Access

By public transport:
From Bratislava by suburban bus to Borinka, Staré Pece. Continue on foot forth the valley to the crossing with yellow trail . Turn right and continue up the hill to the small mointain pass where a branch to the castle leaves. The tour lasts about 20 - 25 minutes.
By car:
From Bratislava take road I/2 to Stupava, here turn direction to Borinka. Park about 800 meters after this village, the valley turns here 90 degrees. The castle is located on the hill above this curve. From here continue back on foot by yellow trail about 10 - 15 minutes.

On foot from Borinka via Pajštún castle:
From the bus stop go by red trail steeply up the hill to the castle Pajštún and through the mountain Kozlisko to the crossing of tourist trails. Continue by yellow path . Right before descending to the valley is a marked branch to the castle. The tour lasts abou 1 1/2 hour.
On foot from Rača:
Use blue or green trail to Medené hámre, then continue by yellow path about 10 minutes up the hill to the castle. The tour lasts abou 2 hours.
